Drinking Water Supply – Booster Pumps
385 cubic meters per hour
The main water resources in the Island of Nevis are groundwater and natural fresh water springs. The water supply system in the island is based on gravity. The water is stored in locations of higher altitude and flow gravitationally to the water network.
WaterMatic constructed three pumping stations in different locations on the island to deliver the water from sea level to storage tanks from where it will flow gravitationally to the water network.
The system includes three in-line potable water booster pumping stations with each pumping station consisting of an array of 3-4 identical inline vertical multistage pumps, piping, surge tank, generator, instrumentation and electricity and control system with connection to a SCADA system.
